Custom Fields allow you to extend the standard task properties with additional information specific to your team&apo;s workflow. Whether you need to track a client, budget, environment, priority category, or external resource, custom fields keep that data structured and accessible directly within the task.
Available Field Types
TaskChecker supports six field types to accommodate different kinds of information:
- Text - Capture short, free-form information such as client names, project codes, or notes.
- Number - Store numeric values such as budgets, estimates, quantities, or other measurable data.
- Date - Add a dedicated date to a task without affecting its primary due date.
- Select - Choose a value from a predefined list of options for consistent data entry.
- Checkbox - Track simple yes/no or true/false conditions.
- URL - Store clickable links to external resources, documentation, tickets, or related systems.
Adding a field
Go to project settings → Custom Fields → Add Field. Choose a type, give it a name, and it becomes available on every task in that project immediately.
Where fields show up
Custom fields appear in the task detail panel, and can be shown as columns in List View or as filters on the Kanban board.
