File Attachments

Keep files and visual references directly connected to the work they support.

2 min read

File Attachments allow you to upload supporting materials directly to tasks, keeping everything your team needs in one place. Add screenshots, design mockups, spreadsheets, PDFs, documents, and other project files without relying on separate storage or scattered links.

Uploading Files

Add an attachment directly from the task details panel.

You can either:

  • Drag and drop a file into the attachment area.
  • Select Upload to browse and choose a file from your device.

Files are securely stored using Cloudinary and delivered through a CDN for fast and reliable access.

Image Previews

Image attachments such as PNG, JPG, and WebP files are displayed with an inline preview within the task.

Select an image to open the full-resolution version in a lightbox, allowing you to review visual details without leaving the task.

Supported File Types

TaskChecker supports a broad range of commonly used file formats, including:

  • Images
  • PDFs
  • Documents
  • Spreadsheets
  • Archive files

Each file is subject to a maximum upload size. For files that exceed the supported limit, consider storing them externally and adding the resource as a Custom URL field.

Attachment Permissions

Attachment access follows the permissions of the associated task.

  • Task viewers - Can view and download attachments.
  • Uploader - Can delete files they have uploaded.
  • Project Admins - Can delete attachments within the project when required.

This keeps project resources accessible to the right people while maintaining control over file management.

Keep Supporting Files With the Work

By storing attachments directly on tasks, TaskChecker keeps important references, assets, and supporting documents connected to the work they belong to, making collaboration faster and project context easier to maintain.

Attachments contribute to your organisation's overall storage usage. If your plan includes a storage limit, you can monitor your current usage under Organisation Settings → Storage and manage files accordingly.
